HBDO with the financial support of WFP has implemented a vocational training project targeting 220 vulnerable women to learn vocations and basic literacy in 2015. In addition, WFP distributed food packages to the 220 trained beneficiaries for six months for the whole project period. The skill training lasted for 6 months and after the completion of the skill training, small business training was also conducted for the beneficiaries to learn how to start their vocation and earn income. After the training, a toolkit including all the tools and equipment was distributed to the beneficiaries to be able to run their business and earn income. A certificate of completion was also distributed to the trainees as the permit license to run the vocation. This certificate was stamped and authorized by the Department of Labor and Social Affairs of Herat province which is a valid legal document that enables the graduated trainees to utilize all the rights entailed with this document.
